Cold Case: What Happened to Manuel DaSilva in 2014?

On May 6, 2014, Deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of S. Walnut Road in Turlock for a male who had been found shot. The victim, Manuel DaSilva, was located and found deceased inside his tractor while working in a field.

Cold Case: What Happened to Howard Lee Simmons in 1981?

Howard Lee Simmons was reported missing on April 19, 1981, and was last seen on April 16, 1981. Simmons had told his family that he wasn't feeling well and wanted to go to the Veteran's Hospital in Livermore, CA. Simmons left his residence in his brown 1974 AMC Gremlin (license plate #714VRD), and it was recovered in Livermore on May 4, 1981. Harold was no where to be found.

Howard has not been seen or heard from since. His family believes Howard may have been a victim of foul play.

Howard was 39 years old when he went missing, 5'-7", 238 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, and had tattoo of a Firebird on his right bicep. He was wearing yellow/gold striped cowboy shirt, gold jacket, and blue jeans.

Cold Case: What Happened to Jorge Mendoza in 2008?

Jorge Mendoza was last seen by family on 7/18/08. Jorge told his family he was going to Tijuana, Mexico to visit relatives and would return in two days. However, Jorge never visited relatives in Mexico. Family believes he might have gone to Mexico to obtain drugs and transport them to the US.

Jorge was last seen driving a white 1995 Chevy Lumina with CA Lic. plate# 3LEC902. 

Jorge was 5'9, 190 pounds, and had a scar on his right elbow.

 

 
Cold Case: Jane Doe Recovered in 1975

On July 30, 1975, female human remains were found in the 10400 block of Maze Blvd, Modesto, in Stanislaus County.

Coroners determined the cause of death was homicide. Forensic findings determined the remains belonged to a Caucasian female, 5'7-5'8, 25-30 years old, with brown hair. Mitochondrial DNA was obtained and entered into the CODIS system.

Cold Case: What Happened to Louis Danhi in 2013?

Louis Danhi last contacted his girlfriend by phone on 06/20/13 when he flew to the Bay Area for business. Danhi told his girlfriend he met with a friend and would drop him off, then he we would be driving to the San Francisco International Airport for a flight. Danhi never made it to the airport. His rental vehicle was found abandoned on 06/22/13 in an unincorporated area near the city of Livermore.

Family and friends do not know with whom Danhi met with. Danhi resided in the state of Massachusetts and would travel frequently to the Bay Area for businesses.

DNA has been obtained from the family and submitted to California DOJ.

On October 12, 2017, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 5900 block of Claribel Road in Riverbank for two men that had been found deceased. Deputies identified the victims as Alfredo Mercado Lomeli and Martin Alvarez Jr.

Cold Case: Who Killed Joey Ross in Oakdale?
 
On July 5, 2006, Joey Ross was walking home to the Harvest Apartments from his business, the Dugout Bar. At approx.12:50 AM, Ross was attacked near the USA Gas Station located at Gilbert Ave. and F St. in Oakdale. He ran across F St. in an attempt to flee, where he ultimately died from multiple stab wounds.
 
The attack was believed to be motivated by a personal conflict, and the suspect(s) are possibly associated with the Norteno criminal street gang from the Oakdale or Riverbank area.

Cold Case: What Happened to Manuel Arellano in 2009?
 
Manuel Arellano (AKA Marine; Marinero) was last seen by his family on 1/24/09. He didn't tell his family he was meeting with anyone or going anywhere. His vehicle was located at his residence. Family believes Arellano may have been the victim of foul play.
 
Arellano has tattoos of "ARELLANO" on his upper back and a crab with #69 on his right forearm. Arellano was 6'1", 170 pounds, brown eyes, and dark brown hair. His birthday is 7/12/83.

Cold Case: Who Killed Johnny Ray Wilson?

Turlock Police Detectives are still searching for information about who shot and killed Johnny Ray Wilson on the night of October 11, 2018 in a drive-by shooting. At 8:55 pm, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of W. Linwood Avenue in Turlock. When officers arrived on scene, they found Johnny Ray Wilson who had been shot and killed. Johnny was 18 years old.

Yosymar Mosqueda went missing on December 4, 2011, and his body was found 3 months later on March 3, 2012, in the California Aquaduct. Yosymar was 21 years old. He left behind his infant son and family whom are still looking for answers.

Who is Responsible for this Double Homicide?

On Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, deputies from the Merced County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Santa Fe Drive and Franklin Road in Atwater, CA, for a shooting that had occurred to a vehicle that was occupied by 4 victims. Tragically, as a result, 24-year-old Eli Correa and 23-year-old Ruben Coronado were killed. A female victim was also critically injured. The unknown suspect(s) fled and are still at large.

On July 22, 2010, Amy Lynn Freeseha was killed in a hit and run while she was jogging with her niece in the area of Langworth and Claribel Road in Riverbank. The suspect vehicle was described as an older to late nineties white Chevy, possibly a Suburban or truck.

Cold Case: Who Killed Luis Lazano?
 
On November 29, 2014, Deputies were dispatched to the Waterford Community center for reports of shots fired. Once on scene, deputies located Lozano outside of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Lozano did not survive his injuries.
