Aggravated Assault

Anthony Fuentes
On Friday, July 15, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Turlock Police Department responded to the 2600 Block of Porsche Strasse for a report of the sound of gun shots. Once officers arrived, they found an adult male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The Turlock Police Department has identified Anthony Fuentes, a 28 year old male from Turlock as the responsible. Fuentes is currently wanted by the Turlock Police Department for assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an occupied vehicle and for discharging a firearm during a commission of a crime. Turlock Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance on the whereabouts of Fuentes. If Fuentes is located, do not approach or attempt contact, and call 9-1-1. The firearm which was used during this incident was not recovered at the scene and Fuentes should be considered armed and dangerous.


Eduardo Lopez
Modesto Police Department Detectives continue their investigation into the shooting death of an adult man near Pequeno and Wilson Avenues. At about 4:30 am on July 24, 2016, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a man down in the roadway. Once on scene, emergency personnel found Hughson resident, 35-year-old Gregory Pimentel, who had been shot. Lifesaving measures were administered, but Pimentel succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Detectives believe suspect, 29-year-old Eduardo Lopez of Ceres, shot Pimentel while in front of a residence in the 200 block of Wilson Avenue, following an argument. Pimentel ran to the 900 block of Pequeno Avenue where he was found by emergency personnel. Lopez fled from the area prior to police arrival. Detectives are actively investigating the details leading up to the shooting and have issued a warrant for Lopez’s arrest.
