On Saturday August 14, 2010, at about 7:23 PM, Modesto Police officers received a call of a subject down in the parking lot of Humphrey's College, located at 3600 Sisk Road. When officers arrived, they found 37-year-old Ernie Hernandez Jr. lying on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hernandez later died as a result of this violent attack.
Through investigation and tips received from the public, Homicide Detectives have identified Samuel Esequel Esquibel, a 30-year-old Modesto resident, as a responsible in the brutal and senseless killing of Mr. Hernandez.

BETTENCOURT was shot and killed at the AM/PM located at the corner of Hwy 108/Oakdale Rd in Riverbank at around 12:40 am 08/05/2010.
Investigators say that the two suspects listed here are still outstanding. The suspects shown here are considered ARMED/DANGEROUS,

On 08/10/2010 around 2329 hrs Newman Police responded to the shooting of an 18 year old in the area of Main and Tulare Streets in Newman. A blue colored Honda with tinted windows and a spoiler was seen leaving the area. Initial investigation indicates that the crime is gang related. The 18 year old victim in the case was treated and released for a non-life threatning wound to his foot.
